Metropolitan Human Services District

The Metropolitan Human Services District was created by Act 846 of the 2003 Louisiana Legislative Session to directly operate and manage community-based mental health, addictive disorders, developmental disabilities, and certain public health functions in the parishes of Orleans, St. Bernard and Plaquemines.
