City of New Orleans Health Department

The New Orleans Health Department works on multiple levels to protect the health of New Orleans’ citizens. In addition to the operation of clinical facilities throughout New Orleans, the Health Department works to address the issues of asthma, obesity and diabetes through a CDC funded program call Step Together New Orleans, in collaboration with LPHI, PATH’s administrative home. The Health Department is represented on numerous PATH committees as well as its Executive Committee.
